Pancakes

Did you get a postcard in the mail a while back from Hubble and Hudson? It was an offer of free pancake mix. All you had to do was come pick it up at the store. Marilyn and I both received a postcard, so we picked up our mix after we ate lunch at the H&H Bistro Friday. This morning, I fixed pancakes for us for breakfast, and wow were they ever good! Maybe I was just hungry, or maybe I haven’t had pancakes in so long, that I’d forgotten how good they can be.

A bigger container than I expected

I got the pumpkin pancake mix, and I liked it because it wasn’t too “pumpkiny.” Marilyn got the gingerbread pancake mix, but I haven’t heard if she’s fixed any pancakes yet.

Those folks at Hubble and Hudson know what they’re doing. Now I’m going to go back and actually purchase some mix for Christmas gifts. It will be the perfect little inexpensive gift for anyone who likes to eat breakfast, which is almost everyone I know. If you still have your postcard, you may want to go pick up your “freebie.”
