A friend mentioned to me the other day that now is a good time to plant snapdragons; that they’ll provide some color in the early spring and survive the winter quite well. Yesterday, she called to say that the snapdragons at Lowe’s and Home Depot were nearly all gone, but that Houston Garden Center has some nice ones, and that I’d better get there as soon as possible, or theirs would be gone too.

I think I’ll go tomorrow and at least get a few to try out. If they need full sun, I’m out of luck because most of the yard is shady.
