I guess we’ll be putting up the Christmas tree today or tomorrow. It’s been outside, soaking up water from a bucket, since last week. We donated our old artificial tree to a high school back in Tennessee just before we moved here. It took up too much room in the moving van, so we were starting off this season “treeless.”
This house has far less storage than our old home, so we opted for a live tree that can be recycled after Christmas. It will be our first live tree in many years, so it should be interesting to string lights, etc. One thing I’m not looking forward to is picking up all the needles it will shed in the process of getting it back outside. What a pain that is! On the brighter side, this tree is a Fraser fir, so the house should smell like a pine forest for a while, which is not a pain at all.
