Lighting of the Luminaries This Evening

This afternoon, around two-thirty or so, you’ll begin to see groups of people placing luminaries around the circle and the cul-de-sacs. Please do feel free to come out and help if you have a mind to do so! The luminaries are in honor of our own dear George Clark who left this world on November 19th. We’ll begin lighting the luminaries at dusk, and we’ll need as many of those long lighters as we can find to get them all lit quickly.

Several of George’s friends from his church are planning to come by and see them, so watch out for cars if you’re walking on the circle this evening.

George’s daughter has called and emailed twice recently. She and her family wished they could be here, but they cannot come. She did request pictures though, and they’re all very touched by this gesture on our part as George’s friends and neighbors. If you happen to get a good picture of the luminaries, could you please email it to me, and I’ll forward it along to Cherie and her family. My night photos are not the best as you know. Email me at   Thanks!
