Wardrobe Congestion

Okay, all of this is “old hat” to you natives of the area, but it’s been an adjustment for the newcomers. Some of you from cooler climates will remember this. Fall came, and the cooler winds began to blow. The leaves turned colors and fell into drifts everywhere, and you knew, you just knew, it was time to pack away all those summer clothes. You probably even had boxes or bins labeled as such. You made sure everything was washed and folded and tucked safely away, to be unpacked in the spring.

But not here! The closet has to be packed with summer and winter clothes during the winter months because who knows? Today it’s shorts and tomorrow it’s fleece. Sometimes you need both — in the same day. So the closet has to accommodate clothing for all seasons during the winter. It’s been an interesting adjustment. Guess it’s safe to say that the winter clothes will be safe to stash away in the summer though. I can’t recall a single day when a jacket was needed in August.
