Birding News

One of the neighbors pointed out that the Goldfinches are back in our area. I haven’t seen any of them yet, but I’m familiar with them. They used to fly through Tennessee as they headed south for the winter. Last year, when we were staying in the Lake Conroe area, I looked out my window one afternoon and saw a tree-full of them. So beautiful! Be sure to keep an eye out for these beauties, and you may spot a flock of them too. Here’s a male in his winter plumage.
