How Green Is Our Village?

I never can keep track of when Earth Day is every year, but the township is “greening-up” for it on Saturday, April 16th, as reported in the latest issue of “The Woodlands Community Magazine.” There’s going to be a community-wide clean-up of the pathways, waterways, neighborhoods, parks, etc., starting at 8:00 a.m.

Maybe this is something we could do. The trail between Acorn Oak and South Millbend has acquired its fair share of trash over the winter. The accumulation is much worse though on the part of the trail by the old WAC site and along Winterberry Place. Lots of plastic bags, beer cans, etc. there.

What do you think? Can we assemble a group and decide where and how much we want to clean up? If we want to be part of the bigger effort, we can pre-register online at http://www.woodlandstownship-tx-gov  and receive a T-shirt. I’m game. Just let me know what you think.
