They Say We’re Spicy, But Then We Already Knew That

One of the first things you notice when you move here is that the food is darned good. So good, in fact, that we’ve had to join a gym to work some of that good food off. Don’t know how we’ll manage to keep it off, but time will tell.

Anyway, I read yesterday that Houston is in the top ten of McCormick’s list of America’s Spiciest Cities. Well, that got me to wondering where we rank exactly, and what other cities are in the list, so I did some digging, and here they are:

1. New York;  2. Chicago;  3. Los Angeles;  4. Dallas/Ft. Worth;  (what the heck?)

5. San Antonio/Corpus Christi;  6. Houston;  7. Memphis;  8. Philadelphia;

9. Charleston, S.C.;  10. Jackson, MS.   New Orleans turned up as number eleven.

It’s interesting that Texas is so well-represented in the list. And it’s also surprising that Dallas/Ft. Worth beat Houston. I figure New Orleans finished so far down the list because so many people have left.
