Commander Kelly is Going

While we’re sort of on the subject of space, it made me think of Commander Mark Kelly, the astronaut husband of Congresswoman ” Gabby” Giffords, and his decision to resume training for the shuttle flight. I have to say, if my husband was the commander of a space shuttle mission, and it was about to embark on its final flight, or any flight, for that matter, I would want him to go too. The man has an important job to do, and I don’t know why anyone would question the family’s decision — especially since it appears that his wife is continuing to improve. Heck, she might even make it to watch the launch. Wouldn’t that be something? The miracles of modern medicine converging with the miracles of modern science. You go, Mark!
