The Sign for Woodfarm

For some reason or other, I drive down Acorn Oak to Sawmill to Sawdust fairly often. I almost never try to make a left-hand turn from S. Millbend onto Sawdust because I hear so many sirens there. That must be the wreck-a-day site, and my thinking is, well, I’ve made it this far, might as well live a few more years if I can.

All of this is to say that I drive into our neighborhood from Sawmill most of the time, and I’ve noticed that our “Woodfarm” sign, while nice and everything, doesn’t have any flowers around it that way the sign down the street for the townhome community does. Wonder why we don’t have bright yellow pansies too?

Oh, I’m sure there’s a logical explanation for it. “The pansies are rotated among signs, and your sign isn’t assigned any flowers until April of ’12,” or something along those lines. Do any of you know? If you do, let me know. I’m just curious…
