Update on the Second-Graders’ Flower-Pen Project

Those kids actually produced more flower pens and made more money for more charities than was reported yesterday.  The kids made 1,123 pens, and in addition to the ranch and the zoo, gave donations to Jump Rope for Heart, American Cancer Society, and one other charity.

Pretty amazing, no? Second-graders! And I just thought I’d mention a good use for those flower-pens. The driver’s license office in Conroe uses them at the desk. When I was there getting my driver’s license recently, they made an announcement asking people to please return the flower pens to the desk. They were all gone. I thought I might take mine up there and “donate” them to that office. Those folks could sure use them!
