Texas Wildfire Map Shows Fires Burning in Surrounding States

I finally found a map showing the location of the largest fires in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. Thank you, Accuweather. It’s not as detailed as we would like to see, but it’s better than guessing.

According to Kristina Pydynowski, Senior Meteorologist, in an article for Accuweather today, the winds should die down as a front passes through the area today, but then the relief will only be shortlived. Another front is poised to blow through, bringing winds back to the area. Thirty to forty mph gusts are expected, beginning on Tuesday. Please see the article for more complete details.

The sun is out, and it’s still breezy in the Houston area as I write. Wish we would have gotten more rain. We certainly need it.
