Texas Wildfires: Map Showing Areas of High Fire Danger, 4/15/11

Lots of folks are looking for up-to-the-minute maps of the wildfires in Texas. I am too, but they’re hard to come by. About the best I can do is to direct you to Google Earth, as I did in a previous post. The fires are moving fast, and new ones crop up so quickly that it’s hard to keep track. Texas Forest Service is about the best place to go for information. Here’s a good map showing areas of extreme and high fire danger. As you can see, almost all of the state falls into one of those categories.
