Texas Wildfires: A Big Thank You to the Firefighters from a Ranch-Owner

All of us are deeply grateful to the firefighters, many of whom are volunteers, for putting themselves in harm’s way to fight these terrible fires day after day after day. As most of you know, two of them have been killed in the line of duty, a fact which saddens us all. This morning I received a post from a ranch-owner who expressed her deep appreciation to the firefighters for saving her property. It must be difficult to put into words the emotions she has felt. Here is her touching note:

I want to say thank you and God Bless, to all the firemen and women who fought the fires in Coke County. My ranch was one of many that caught on fire. By the efforts of these wonderful men and women who came from all over Texas and other states to fight these fires, I didn’t loose any livestock and buildings. These men and women are much appreciated for their servieces. Thank you, thank you.
