Tunica Casino Dog Rescued from Flood Waters

A friend in Memphis called me Friday and told me about the rescue of a stray dog that had been hanging out around the casinos in Tunica for years. Many casino employees knew about this dog, and had affectionately called her “the casino dog” for some time, but all attempts to capture her had failed. My friend said that the dog was spotted on a patch of high ground totally surrounded by flood water, so some really nice people in Tunica decided to rescue her. This is a story with a happy ending.

Sorry I’m not allowed to embed the video, but here’s a link for you to Channel 5 in Memphis. They have the video and lots of information about flooding throughout the mid-south. They also have a tour of the flooded casinos. Be sure to check it out.
