Branson, Missouri, unaffected by tornado

I just spoke to Mike at the Branson Tourism Center, and he told me that Branson was completely unaffected by the terrible storm that struck Joplin Sunday. Branson is about an hour and twenty minutes away from Branson, and they received no damage whatsoever. This is good news for everyone who has a vacation in Branson planned for this summer.

If you’ve never been there before, Branson is a great place for a family vacation. Lots of fun things for the kids to do, and beautiful Table Rock Lake offers boating and fishing opportunities galore. There is great live entertainment and golfing for the adults as well. You may want to check it out one of these days. It’s usually a bit cooler up there in the Ozark Mountains in the summertime. And oh, the shopping! You will find a bargain or two while you’re there. I can almost promise you that. Hey, I think I’ve just about talked myself into taking a trip up there. It’s been a while. Branson, I miss you.
