Arizona Wildfire Video: Power Lines Threatened

The news from Arizona is pretty grim today as the second-largest wildfire in state history continues to spread. Two small towns have had to be completely evacuated now, and smoke from the fire continues to pollute the air in nearby states. Now a couple of major power lines from the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant, though not the plant itself, are threatened by the fire. If those power lines are damaged, it could mean trouble for electrical power in New Mexico and Texas.

Here’s a link to the NBC News site with the video and photographs. I tried to embed the video for you, but the “computer gods are angry” this morning. If you keep watching, the second video to come up has some information about John Wayne’s old home. Hope it, and all the other homes in the area, can be saved.
