Montgomery/Waller/Grimes Counties Fire Updates: Links w/ Videos

We’re seeing and smelling smoke right now in The Woodlands, but I think that’s because the wind direction has changed a bit and we’re seeing and smelling the smoke from Magnolia. I’ve been trolling for information about fire locations and have found several sources I thought you might find helpful too.

ABC13.com just updated their info a few minutes ago, and they seem to stay on top of things. If you scroll down, you can see road closures, school closures, etc.

Click2Houston.com also has a lot of information about the fires.

Montgomery County Emergency Management has updates on the right-hand side of page.

Texas Department of Public Safety has alerts and information as well.

I will update this list as I discover new sources. If you know of a reliable and up-to-the-minute source for fire information, please let me know. It would be nice to be able to let people know as soon as a fire breaks out. (That’s asking a lot, I know.) We also want to make sure the information is accurate. Thanks!
